The Golden Globes event this year was hosted by comedian Jo Koy and was televised live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

“Oppenheimer” took up the award for best drama motion picture, defeating five other films, including Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein biography “Maestro.” “Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan, stars Robert Downey Jr. and Cillian Murphy, and the film’s composer, Ludwig Göransson, all won Golden Globes.

Searchlight Pictures’ Poor Things received the Academy Award for best motion picture, musical, or comedy. Anatomy of a Fall was chosen best non-English-language film, while The Boy and the Heron was named best animated feature.
